The thing I love about raw soups, besides the flavor, is that you can whip up tasty creations with whatever you have leftover in your kitchen and it only takes a minute or two to prepare!
As with most raw soups, it is low in calories so it makes a perfect snack or complement to a raw food meal.
Recipe
- 3 to 4 large, organic celery stalks
- 6 organic vine tomatoes
- 1 large organic yellow pepper
- 1 large organic zucchini (with skin)
- 1 teaspoon chili powder and/or a dash of cayenne to taste
- 1 teaspoon dulse flakes
- 1 teaspoon ground flax seeds
- 1 clove of garlic
- About 4 ounces of filtered water
Add the water and tomatoes and blend for about 10 seconds to form a liquid base. Then add the rest of the ingredients and blend on high for about 30 seconds or until smooth. If you don’t have a high-speed blender, your blending time might be longer.
This soup is a rich source of iodine because of the dulse sea vegetables. It’s also a good source of calcium, iron and Omega-3s!
